Mini-Get away to Nashville

Since this fall we seem to have been hit HARD with the sick bug, we decided to take full advantage of a mini-get away during the one week we were well! Josh had some vacation time left, so we packed up for a weekend and headed north. We knew we couldn't stand a long trip in the car, and neither kiddo has experienced the Gaylord Orpyland Hotel before, so we knew that would be the perfect place for us to go. I must say it was well worth it!

We enjoyed a live cover band that played several of Landon's favorite songs (you know you have a little country boy when he knows the words to "Pontoon"). The hotel was very family friendly with plenty of room for the kids to roam and explore. We stayed the first weekend that the Christmas trees and lights were up and on and WOW! The kids really loved looking at all of them! We dinned at the Rainforest Cafe and The Aquarium. The food was delicious, but seeing the look in Landon & Corinne's eyes when the rainstorm came was priceless. Corinne got a little frightened, but Landon assured her all was okay and that he would protect her :)

While in Nashville we (I) couldn't resist a trip to OpryMills. We lucked up and found some great things for the kids for Christmas! We might have to make this a yearly trip and knock out all of our Christmas shopping in one weekend! And last, but not least, as we were pulling out of the Opryland Hotel we hear Landon say, "It's the General!!! The General LEEEEEE!" Landon loves The Dukes of Hazard, probably because he has been brainwashed by his Daddy! Cooter's place is right across the street so we had to stop and get Landon's picture made with all of the cars and let him browse all of the memorabilia. He loved it! And Josh was strolling down memory lane, too :) This was a great trip - just what the doctor ordered!

Have babydoll, will travel.
Not thrilled about the gorilla

You'd have thought she'd never seen one of these before! Mercy!

At least now we have 2 kids, so the ride is only $.50 per kiddo :) ha

Such a good Daddy!
