16 Months

Hello my little 16 month old!

Growing like a weed, you are currently in 18 month clothes. We can tell that you are getting longer, but so far you are not gaining any weight. At your last weight check you were around 24 to 25lbs...and if you're wondering why it isn't a constant number, it is because you have been to the doctor a million times this past month, and each time your weight has varied. It seems as though our house has been plagued with sickness, and therefore we have been frequenting Dr. M's office. Stomach bug, Ear Infections, Bronchitis, Allergies, you name it...and sadly I don't see an end in sight with school and flu season starting.

Even with the sickness, you have still been a very busy girl. Nowadays you are running instead of walking, but still as clumsy as ever! You learned a new skill - feeding yourself! You have become very independent and even though you make a mess, it is fun to see you try so hard to feed yourself. You seem to prefer a fork instead of a spoon...which is funny because your brother is right the opposite. You have also gotten really good at getting in to thing...specifically things you should NOT be doing! Examples: you love cleaning out the cabinets if Mommy leaves the child lock off, you rummage around in the pantry as though you have never eaten before, and you most favorite place to get in to trouble is the refrigerator. You scream bloody murder if I try to move you, and to be honest you really don't hurt anything in there. You usually just take out the gallon of milk and stack the cans of biscuits!
Speaking of stacking, your current favorite toy are building blocks. You stack them up and tear them down, just to do it all over again. You have also become really fond of your babies, dragging one or two around the house with you all day.

You're changing everyday! Looking forward to all of the fun things in store for us this month with Halloween, Pumpkin Patch fun, and just fall in general!
