After a nice long nap, Landon awoke to yet another birthday party! On Sunday, July 4th we had a Family Swim Party at Landon's grandparent's house. They have a great backyard with a refreshing pool, so we knew it would be just the place for our 4th of July Birthday Festivities! The day turned out to be perfect! The weather was great and the turn out was great! Landon has lots of cousins on both my side and Josh's side of the family. All of the kiddo's seemed to enjoy the pool! After about 45 minutes of swimming we all go out of the pool to sing happy birthday to the birthday boy! Once again he loved his cake, insisting on eating more of the icing and less of the actual cake. Just like his Daddy! He tried to share with his cousins, offering everyone spoonfuls of icing! Only Mommy and Daddy obliged. Once we were cleaned up and in our birthday suit that Meme had made for Landon, we went inside to open gifts. I feel confident in saying that my child needs absolutely nothing! He has lots of toys, clothes, books, and money! His BIG gift from his Nana & Papa was a great Sand & Water transportation table and a new tree house slide. Landon also loved the remote control big foot from his Uncle Ben and his John Deere play Chainsaw from his cousin Brooke. So that Landon isn't too overwhelmed with all of his gifts, we have put them all in our spare bedroom for now and are letting him open 1 gift every other day. That way he can really take the time to enjoy each gift! One thing it sure, my sweet boy sure is loved! Landon had a spectacular birthday filled with lots of love, gifts, and SuGaR!!!

After we went home and recuperated from the party, we met up with our friends and neighbors, the Beadles. Since we both have little ones, we thought going to the river for the fireworks show would be a little much for them, so we had our own little fireworks party! Landon looks exhausted in the picture - and he should be! Not only did he have a long day and weekend of birthday parties, it was also 10 p.m. before he went to bed that night. Luckily for Josh & me Landon slept in the next morning!!
