It's A Boy!

Not me, silly! Our friends, Bud & Jennifer are having a baby boy! So this past Saturday a group of us girls threw them a couples baby-que. Even though there was a threat of bad weather, we were so lucky that the day turned out to be absolutely gorgeous!

We began the evening enjoying a yummy plate of barbecue, beans, chips, fruit, and delicious baby blue cupcakes. Most all of the decorations were homemade by the hostesses - we just had to put our special touches on it. :) Robin made an adorable diaper cake, Olivia made the cute pom-poms, the Mississippi State wreath, and the fruit buggy, and I made the "It's a Boy" sucker favors, the cupcake flags, and the banner.

It is usually hard to get the guys to come to a  baby shower, so Bud insisted that we call it a "Baby Throw-down" instead! ;) In trying to keep the throw-down gender neutral, we tried to refrain from games, however there is just one that we could not pass up. (See pictures below...) We had a really good turnout and I think the parents-to-be really enjoyed themselves! All of their friends and family really "showered" baby Caleb with lots of precious outfits, Camping themed bedding, diapers, and toys! It's hard to believe that Caleb will make his arrival in 2 1/2 short months...if not sooner!
