A Beautiful White Christmas Morning

As anyone in North Alabama knows our meterologists are never just spot on...20% chance of rain and we might get a flood. 100% chance of snow and ice and it will be 65 and sunny. However, for Christmas weekend there was indeed snow in the forecast, but I doubt anyone was holding their breathe. I could not believe my eyes when on December 25th, 2010 at 8 a.m. (yes, if you're wondering, my child slept in!! woohoo!) we awoke to a beautiful white blanket of snow covering our yard. It even prompted me to go make a yummy cup of hot cocoa.

After setting up the video camera and getting myself ready for that "first glimps of what Santa brought" picture, we let Landon come into the den. The pictures below are self explanitory :) Santa was very generous this year, as Landon recieved about 12 different tractors (not like we didn't have enough...), some Yo Gabba Gabba bath toys and coloring book, lots of playdough, some new cartoon video's...including his favorite "Mater's Tall Tales," a new John Deere Tractor blanket, a barnyard themed rug/play mat (which is what his new big boy room is going to be - I wanted a construction zone theme...I lost), and for his BIG present from Santa...a BOUNCY HOUSE with a SLIDE! If there hadn't been any snow we were going to have it blown up in the front yard, but the forecast shows warmer weather this upcoming weekend, so maybe we will get out and bounce! Mommy & Daddy can get in it, too! (It holds up to 250lbs) It's so nice to have a peaceful, intimate Christmas morning with my family of 3! Next year there will be a 6 month old little girl in the picture, so we will really have our hands full. This truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

"WOW! Look what Santa left me!"

Ready to open presents!

This is his baby puppy that we made at Build-A-Bear

The big green tractor he specifically asked Santa for...

That tractor on the chair is actually a carrying
case for his little tractors! Brilliant!

New Tractor Blanket

Rev-Em-Up trucks from Elyssa!

Cars sticker book

BIG construction collection from Meme

It was heavy, but he had to take it to Daddy
so it could be opened pronto!

Landon also wanted to open our presents for us...see Josh's new Polo Jeans?

It's a good thing Landon helped me open my gifts...

...because my husband used an entire roll of tape on each package! ugh!

Time to play!

He eventually tuckered out, and requested to watch The Grinch. Sweet boy :)

I was tired too! And I love my new house shoes :)
Fuzzy and warm, just like my Uggs!
